Troika Attends CTMA Annual Partners Meeting
Troika Solutions recently participated in the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) Annual Partners and Integrated Project meeting for Commercial Technologies for Maintenance Activities (CTMA) members.
CTMA is an NCMS OSD partnership that focuses on transitioning commercial technologies to the DoD maintenance and sustainment communities. The Annual Partners and Integrated Project Meeting is designed for members to learn about DoD technology needs, network, and understand CTMA’s streamlined development and transition capabilities.
Troika founding partner and Director of International Business, Bill Black, joined COO; Frank Schuster, Director of Corporate Affairs; Jamie Medlock, and Senior Advisor; Bob Appleton, for the meeting. “Troika has been a long-standing supporter of CTMA and we were proud to participate in this year’s event,” Black said. “The best part of the conference was the EFAC (expeditionary fluid analysis capability) presentation where we learned how the DoD could save up to $100 million annually by incorporating our latest cost-saving solution,” he said. “Troika’s Bob Appleton has tirelessly worked with Spectro Scientific and NCMS on this project, and it was a pleasure watching the final pieces come together.”
Frank Schuster enjoyed the plenary sessions and roundtables featuring subject matter experts, and was also impressed with the EFAC presentation and cost-saving benefits that were unveiled at the EFAC breakout session.
“Bob, along with his partner at Spectro Scientific, did a phenomenal job of capturing the real benefits of EFAC,” Schuster said. “This project has been in the making for over a decade, and has the potential to save the DoD an incredible amount of money. I enjoyed learning about the roll-out plan and how the different branches are incorporating EFAC,” he said.
Hill Air Force Base in Salt Lake City, Utah hosted the conference. Hill is the Air Force’s third largest base by population and size, and is home to the 75th Air Base Wing. The wing provides support for the Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC), Life Cycle Management Center, Nuclear Weapons Center, 388th and 419th Fighter Wings and more than 60 other associate units totaling 20,000 personnel.
